urbanist & geographer
Alexandre Bossard is a geographer (University of Lausanne) and urbanist (Université Libre de Bruxelles), specializing in urban soil unsealing and ecological transition. His work integrates cartography, data analysis, and interdisciplinary approaches to study urban and environmental dynamics.
He teaches and publishes regularly on these topics. Currently a PhD researcher at UCLouvain, with a visiting stay at TU Berlin, he contributes to the Archisols project (ULB, Innoviris). He has supported students in mapping projects at ULB (Belgium), UCLouvain (Belgium), Université Kongo (DRC), and TU Berlin (Germany).

The Archisols co-creation research (funded by Innoviris) aims to improve the use of Brussels soils by documenting past activities that may have impacted their quality.
2023 - present | Université Catholique de Louvain
The prospective research LOGOS-RES (funded by Innoviris) focuses on the renovation of modernist social housing complexes. My tasks include creating a prospective mapping of the context of these complexes.
2021 - present | Université Libre de Bruxelles
Teaching the Mapping Tools course as part of the specialization master's in urbanism. This course (18h) aims to enable students to master mapping tools and to know the different existing data sources.
